FIFTY=EIGHT DEATHS

IN BRITISH COLLIERY DISASTER. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.40 a.m.) RUGBY, December 2. A death roll of 58 is feared as a result of an accident in the Sneyd Collieries, at Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent. This morning the known dead numbered sixteen and 42 men were still missing, presumed dead. Two men who were still alive when brought to the surface after an explosion died in hospital on the same day.
