AIR COMBATS
OFFENSIVE PATROLS OVER CHANNEL THREE ENEMY AIRCRAFT DESTROYED. TWO BRITISH FIGHTERS MISSING. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 12.45 p.m.) RUGBY, January 2. An Air Ministry communique states: “In the course of offensive patrols by our fighters over the Channel and the French coast today, three enemy aircraft were destroyed. Two of our fighters are missing.”
