GREYTOWN
RED CROSS SOCIETY ’ NEW YEAR’S EVE DANCE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Red Cross Society’s New Year's Eve dance, which was held in the Odd Fellows’ Hall, was a decided success. The music was supplied by Te Tau’s orchestra, extras being played by Messrs L. Day’sh and C. Field, and Misses Bejyl Hawke and Joan Inglcy. The hall was decorated with coloured papers and balloons. After supper, paper hats were handed round, and this added to the brightness and gaiety which prevailed throughout the evening. The Prisoner of War parcels fund will benefit considerably as the result of this effort. Personal Items. Mrs Horsfall, Wellington, is a guest of Mrs J. Rees. McMaster Street. Miss Rewa Lorimer, Wellington, is staying with Mrs E. Richards, McMaster Street. TOWN HALL TOMORROW NIGHT'S PROGRAMME The programme at the Town Hall tomorrow night will be headed by a thrilling drama, “Unfinished Business,” featuring Irene Dunne and Robert Montgomery. The other picture is “The Hun at War.” (Recommended by the Censor for adults).
