SHEARING OPERATIONS' HELD UP BY WET WEATHER. (“Times-Age” Special.) There are still thousands of sheep to be shorn in the district. The continued wet weather in seriously interfering with shearing operations. Personal Items. Mrs Tullock is visiting her son, Mr H. Tullock, Canvas Town, Blenheim. Lance Bombardier Percy Henderson, Palmerston North, is the guest of Mr and Mrs C. F. Buck. Mrs Hutana is visiting Wellington for a few days. COSY THEATRE TONIGHT’S PROGRAMME. Tonight there will be presented one of the most outstanding pictures. of the year, “The Devil and Miss Jones,” starring Jean Arthur and Robert Cummings. It is a gay and .romantic story. (Approved for Universal Exhibition).
