Brown reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:— Barograph, 29.75. Shade temperature: Maximum 70.6, minimum 51.5, terrestrial 40.8. Sunshine, 5 hours 40 min. Rain, 11 points. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 12 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today. PHASES OF THE MOON. New moon, January 17. First quarter, January 24. Full moon, February 2.
