GOOD WISHES

FROM TROOPS IN WAIOURU CAMP. “The mobilised portion of the 9th ■ A.F.V. Regiment, late the Wellington and East Coast Mounted Rifles,-is in splendid heart, and all join with me in wishing your readers a happy New i Year,” writes Major A. H. Russell, in a telegram from Waiouru Military Camp. He continues: “We were disappointed in not receiving our leave, but the boys all realised the necessities of the present international situation and took the altered situation as I always felt sure that boys from the country districts would do. All the officers, N.C.O.’s and men join with me in wishing you all a happy New Year, and one that will see us victorious in the present conflict.”
