WAR STRATEGY
BRITISH AND AMERICAN DISCUSSIONS REPORT TO FULL COUNCIL. CLOSER UNITY OF PURPOSE. .. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.40 p.m.) WASHINGTON, December 25. British and American experts are engaged more in working out a broad outline of war strategy rather than the details, said Sir Gerald Campbell. The outline will be submitted to the full War Council. It concerns strategical and operational planning in all the theatres of war. While there are growing rumours of dissension in the enemy High Command, the fighters for freedom are reaching' closer unity of purpose.
Admiral King, in a statement, declared: “The way to victory is long and the going will be hard. We will do the best we can with what we have got. We must have more planes and ships at once. Then it will be our turn to strike. We will win through in time.”
