CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTORSrAND DEFAULTERS.

WELLINGTON EDUCATION BOARD DECISION.

Teachers appealing against service in' the armed forces, on the ground of conscientious objection, are to be given one month’s notice of dismissal, for the- duration of the war, by the Wellington Education Board. This decision has been made in accordance with regulations recently o-azetted. Such teachers will be deemed to be on leave of absence without pay for the duration of the war. A teacher who has been or is convicted of any offences relating to defaulters may. with the concurrence of the Minister, be dismissed without notice.
