S.M. COURT
SITTING IN MASTERTON. A LIGHT LIST OF CASES. Brief civil and police business was dealt with at a sitting of the Masterton Magistrate’s Court this morning before Mi’ H. P. Lawry, S.M. Tn judgment summons cases A. Rayne was ordered to pay J. Macfarlane Laing £7 18s, in default 7 days imprisonment. L. Cadwallader was oidered to pay the Wairarapa Seed Company £35 17s 9d, in default 5 weeks’ imprisonment. For owning unlicensed radios, Christina M Phillips and Ella Jeffcoat were each fined 10s with 10s costs. In these cases the Radio Inspector prosecuted. Traffic Inspector J. McGregor proceeded against John Thomas Ryan for having failed to produce a warrant of fitness for his car. A fine of 10s and 10s costs was imposed. On a similar charge Archie Montgomery was fined 10s with costs 12s. . J\ For having ridden a bicycle at night without a light Bill Tilyard was con-x victed and fined 10s, with 10s costs. On a similar charge Douglas Cunningham was fined 15s, with 10s costs. These cases were conducted by the police.
