The Railway Department advertises in this issue restrictions in rail travel. Special attention is drawn to the fact that seats reserved for all rail journeys (except those by rail-cars between Masterton and Wellington) including journeys of under 100 miles will be cancelled and intending passengers will require to make fresh application. Each case will be considered on its merits, and subject to accommodation being available. .
