STATE THEATRE
“MEXICAN SPITFIRE OUT WEST.”
Well chosen for the leading role in “Mexican Spitfire Out West,” to be shown tonight at the State Theatre, is Lupe Velez, the colourful Mexican star, who is seen with Leon Errol, Cecil Kellaway, and Donald Woods.' The story deals with the antics of a bride who goes to Reno in order to hold her husband —not to divorce him —and there are plenty of good scenes well played by a team of comedians. Never serious, the film swings easily from one good laugh to another. It is one of the most amusing comedies ever brought to the screen and calls for a high standard of acting which is ably responded to by Lupe Velez, Leon Errol, Cecil Kellaway (the Australian actor) and Donald Woods. Those who enjoy a good laugh and at the same time appreciate high class acting should not miss' “Mexican Spitfire Out West.”
