REGENT THEATRE
“VICTORY.” Tonight’s programme will be headed by a brilliantly acted and presented picture, “Victory.” It is a tale of adventure in the South Seas and, is founded on Joseph Conrad’s famous book. The picture while full of excitement tells a pretty story of the fascination of a beautiful woman and her power over four desperate men. There are many outstanding scenes and the heart interest is sustained right to the last. Frederic March is seen in what is probably his best character study, and he makes the most of the many situations which call for outstanding acting. Betty Field gives a most delightful presentation of a ro.le that could easily be seriously spoilt by an actress possessing less ability. , There is an excellent supporting programme including “Tannhauser,” a Paramount pictorial, and the Regent Airmail News.
