KILLED IN ACTION
SERGEANT WILLIAM MARSHALL. Sergeant William Marshall, 2nd N.Z.E.F., who has been reported killed in action in the Middle East, was formerly manager of the Dominion Life Assurance Company’s branch in Masterton. He was a popular member of the Riverside Golf Club and was responsible for the presentation of the “Dominion Life” challenge cup for competition among the Riverside, Bideford and Mahunga .clubs. His wife and two daughters, reside at Featherston. Sergeant Marshall, who was a sergeant-major in the war of 1914-18 was a member of the Featherston branch of the Wairarapa R.S.A? He left New Zealand with an early echelon.
