It was stated that like other clubs in the district a dr. balance was shown for the year’s working. However, a very healthy interest in the club was displayed by members and it is anticipated any difficulties in the forthcoming season would be met with vigour by the members. The committee appreciates the action of those members who presented trophies for the various competitions, also the R.S.A., and extends thanks to Mrs Palamontain, who has carried out the duties of ladies’ secretary. The' action of the “Times-Age” in publishing reports is also appreciated, and our thanks are due to Mr H. Keisenberg as hon. auditor. The Club was fortunate in obtaining the services of Mr P. Hynes as greenkeeper, and Mrs Hynes as caterer. They both deserve the thanks of the Club for the manner in which they carried out their respective duties, and it is hoped their services may be retained. All buildings and plant are in good order, but the abnormal growth of grass this season and the benzine restrictions, caused no little concern and expense. It was also necessary to purchase another truck. I appreciate the close attention of the Committee at all meetings, and their hearty cooperation in the Club’s activities; and I would also like to thank all those who assisted in working bees, etc. A very successful concert and dance was held in the Savage Club rooms on the evening of November 1, and was much appreciated by all present. Thanks are extended'to members of the Savage Club and all those who assisted in the function. In conclusion, I wish to extend the best wishes of the Club to these members who are on active service, for their safe and speedy return. The report is signed for the committee by Mr W. J. Palamontain president.
