FEATHERSTON
METHODIST CHURCH CHRISTMAS TREE GATHERING. ("Times-Age” Special.) The Methodist Sunday School held its annual prize giving and Christmas tree gathering at the Odd Fellows’ Hall last evening, when an enjoyable time was spent. Father Christmas had a busy time presenting gifts to all present. Personal Items. Mrs A. Donald has returned home from a visit to her sister, Mrs Brady, Wellington. Mr Hoskings, who is an inmate of the Greytown Hospital, is making satisfactory progress towards recovery. WEDDING SCHENKEL—GRAHAM. At the Presbyterian Church on Monday evening Kathleen Joyce, only daughter of Mr and Mrs H. Graham; Kahutara Rd., was married to Arthur Plumage Schenkel, son of Mrs H. Savage, of Featherston. The Rev. R. S. Keenan was the officiating minister. The bride wore a wedgewood blue frock, with a veiled hat to match and carried a bouquet of dephiniums and roses. The bridesmaid, Miss Anne Fellingham, was attired in a honey gold frock. The best man -was Seaman Stanley Shotbolt. At the reception which was held later, Mrs Graham wore a black tailored costume and hat, and Mrs Sav-’ age was attired in a teal blue ensemble. Mr and Mrs Graham later entertained many of the guests at their home. COSY THEATRE TONIGHT’S PROGRAMME. “The Great American Broadcast” with Alice Faye, Jack Oakie, John Payne and a great cast, will be shown tonight. Picture lovers must see this snappy show. (Approved for Universal Exhibition).
