OBITUARY
MR ARTHUR POND. The death occurred yesterday in Masterton of Mr Arthur Pond, a wellknown resident of this town, wheie he had resided for the past 60 years. The late Mr Pond, who was born in Wellington, was employed by the Masterton Borough Council for over 30 years, for the last 20 years prior to his retirement as sexton at Masterton Cemetery. He leaves a widow, two daughters and one son to mourn their loss. The funeral will take place tomorrow, leaving the chapel of Hyde’s Funeral Service, Ltd., following a service at 2 p.m. for the Masterton Cemetery.
