WARM THANKS

FOR BIRTHDAY GREETINGS. EXPRESSED BY MR CHURCHILL. LONDON, December 1. Overwhelmed with masses of telegrams, letters and other messages of good wishes on the occasion of his birthday, the British Prime Minister (Mr Winston Churchill) has issued the following statement: — “The Prime Minister much regrets that in the present circumstances it is not possible to acknowledge the telegrams and letters of good wishes which he has received, on the occasion of his birthday, from every part of the country as well as from the Empire and many parts of the world. Mr Churchill sends his warm thanks to all who have written to him and hopes they will accept this message as an acknowledgment.”
