CRIMEAN BASE

GERMANS USING POWERFUL FORCES STRUGGLE FOR IMPORTANT HEIGHTS. SOME REGAINED BY RUSSIANS. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) LONDON. November 29. The Moscow radio says that in the Crimea the enemy is continuing to bring up reinforcements, and the danger to Sebastopol has increased. The enemy is constantly attempting to take important heights on the approaches to the town, ignoring great losses. One height was taken by the enemy through numerical superiority, but after long fighting our troops recaptured it.

A late message says the Russians at Sebastopol recaptured a large village and several strategic heights during a 24-hour battle on the approaches to the town. The Tass agency says enemy pressure there is increasing. The Russian fleet is bombarding communications and troops and inflicting heavy losses.
