THE DAIRYING SEASON GOOD PROSPECTS AHEAD. (“Times-Age” Special.) The dairy factories throughout the' district have so far experienced a good season and large supplies of milk are being received. Provided there is not a too-dry season after Christmas the dairying year should be one of the most successful ever recorded in the district. MOTHERS’ UNION MONTHLY MEETING. On Thursday, the Mothers’ Union held its monthly meeting. The service was conducted by the Rev. G. Williams in the church, and there was a good attendance. Members adjourned to the Parish Hall after the service, Mrs Williams presiding over the meeting. The services in the future will commence at two o’clock, it being considered a more convenient time enabling country parishioners to attend the monthly services. It is hoped that a further increase in membership will result from this change. The meeting decided to help maintain a child at an Anglican orphanage, such work being part of the first two objects of the Mothers’ Union. it was decided that the last meeting for this year be held on December 18. The hostesses were Mesdames Simmers, Hensen, Higginson and Christie. Presbyterian Church. A special service will be held in the Eketahuna Presbyterian Church tomorrow at 2 p.m. especially for country worshippers. The preacher will be the Rev. D. McNeur, of Masterton.
