SOUTH FEATHERSTON
PATRIOTIC EFFORT EUCHRE PARTY AND DANCE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The fortnightly euchre party and dance held in the South Featherston Hall on Thursday night by the War Service Committee was well patronised. The prize-winners were: Ladies: Mrs R. Fuge, 1; Mrs R. Williams, 2. Men: Mr R. Williams, 1; Mrs Chisholm, 2.
The Monte Carlo waltzes were won by Mr R. Viles and Miss N. Watson and Mrs Simmonds and Mrs Cherry. The music was supplied by Udy’s Orchestra. Miss G. Fraser played extras. Mr H. Graham capably, carried out the duties of M.C.
Cash donations were received from Mrs Beattie, Misses Yule, Mrs Fuge,. Mrs Chisholm and Mr R. Williams. Mr Snell also gave a lamb to be auctioned. Personal Items. Mrs Cherry, of Masterton, is staying with her mother, Mrs R. Simmonds, South Featherston. Mrs Hoar, who' has been the guest of her sister, Mrs A. Robertson, South Featherston, has left for Carterton where she will spend a few days before returning to her home at Hastings.
