“SPIT & POLISH”
BANNED IN BRITISH ARMY. BOOTS TO BE DITBBINED. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.25 a.m.) LONDON, November 28. An Army order strictly bans the polishing of boots, virtually ending the traditional “spit and polish” era. Boots in future must be dubbined, which although it gives a dull effect, protects the boots more effectively against gas.
