E.P.S. EMERGENCY

MASTERTON WOMEN. TRAINED AT FIRE STATION. Four Masterton women are being trained at the Masterton Fire Station in general watchroom duties, in case of an E.P.S. emergency, when all firemen will be required for more active duties.

Those receiving training are Misses E. E. Thompson, G. A. Baird, Z. M. Thompson and J. MacDonald. They are being instructed in the operation of the fire alarm apparatus, the call bell system and telephones, so that in the event of an emergency, they can take charge of the watchroom at the station.
