FREE KINDERGARTEN
MASTERTON WEST. ENJOYABLE BIRTHDAY PARTY. The, last meeting of the year of the committee of the Masterton West Free Kindergarten was held at the residence of Mrs Jacobson, Masters Crescent, ■and took the form of a birthday parly an enjoyable time being spent. Presentations were made to the president (Mrs C. J. Williams) and the secretary, Mrs J. Bright. Mrs Williams presented shoulder sprays' to the members of the executive.
The president thanked all who had so willingly helped in the establishment of the Kindergarten. The money raised during the year amounted to £2OO. Mrs Barr was the winner of a competition held. Musical items were rendered by Mrs J. Dickson, Mrs Jacobson, Miss O'Donnell, Mrs Burke, Miss Helen Bannister, Mrs Diggle and Mrs Pickering.
Supper was served. The birthday cake was made by Mrs McKee Wright and was appropriately decorated in the Kindergarten colours, green, blue and gold. A vote of thanks to Mrs Jacobson for the use of her home brought the meeting to a close.
