GUN CLUB PATRON
GENEROSITY APPRECIATED.
PRAISE FOR MR JOHN McKENZIE.
Mr C. E. Grey (president) in his annual report presented to the Wairarapa Gun Club at its meeting at Carterton last night stated: —“Had. it not been for the wonderful generosity of our worthy patron, Mr John McKenzie, we could not have had the elaborate building which we now possess. I am sure every member will support me in these remarks. The club is indeed fortunate in having a patron possessed of such a generous nature, and we trust he will be spared many years to enjoy the comforts and progress of the club. I would like on my own behalf to thank Mr McKenzie for the great help he also given by his supervision of the building from start to finish. Whenever a working bee was on the job, he was always there.”
