PLUNKET SOCIETY SALE OF WORK. (“Times-Age” Special.) A most successful sale was held in the Masonic Hall yesterday afternoon by the. local Plunket Society when a large attendance of buyers soon depleted the well-filled stalls. The competition winners were: — Silver gong, Mrs H. W. Blundell; soldiers cake, Pat Ward; ham, Mrs Baker, Tin of biscuits, Mrs Ivan McLeod; box of chocolates, Mrs W. H. Martin; bridge bag, Mrs Baker. SCHOOL ASSOCIATION EUCHRE TOURNAMENT. Last night the Home and School Association held a euchre tournament at the Town Hall. There was a fair attendance, and the winners were: — Ladies’ section, Mrs Grimshaw 1, Mrs Kaio 2; men’s division, Mr W. Blissett 1, and Mr F. Duffy 2. The aggregate prizes were won by Mrs L. Boyd and W. Blissett.' BOWLING CLUB TEAMS TO PLAY FEATHERSTON. The following teams have been selected to represent the Martinborough Bowling Club against Featherston at Martinborough on Saturday afternoon; Booth Cup: Craig, Skill, Larsen, Yates (s); Martin, Boyd, Budd, Knell (s).
