EKETAHUNA

WEDDING BRADLEY—O’REGAN. (“Times-Age” Special.) A wedding of interest was celebrated at Eketahuna on November 21 when Margaret (‘Peggy”), third daughter of Mr and Mrs S. J. O’Regan, of Eketahuna, was married to Benjamin Thomas Bradley, third son of the late Mr and Mrs J. A. Bradley, of Opunake, Taranaki. The Rev Father E. Sweeney, who performed the ceremony at the Sacred Heart Church, Eketahuna, also celebrated Nuptial Mass. The bride, who was escorted by her father, entered the church to the strains of the Wedding March played by Miss Mary McManus. She wore a frock of navy blue silk marocain with a blue hat and matching accessories. She carried a bouquet of cream roses and carnations.

In attendance as bridesmaid was Miss Norma O’Regan, of Waipukurau, sister of the bride. She wore a frock of London tan silk linen with hat and shoes to tone. Her bouquet was of gold roses.

The bridegroom was attended by Mr Ray Quinlivan of Eketahuna. A reception was afterwards held at the residence of the bride’s parents. The bride’s mother received the guests in a black and white ensemble and wore a shoulder spray of red roses. Later Mr and Mrs Bradley left for the north on a short holiday prior to the bridegroom returning to the Waiouru Camp. For her travelling costume the bride chose a blue model frock with a navy coat and accessories to tone. Visitors to the wedding were Mrs J. Donovan, Opunake; Mrs W. J. Henderson, Woodville; Mr and Mrs E. A. O’Brien, Palmerston North, and Miss Molly Bradley. Morrinsville.
