KNITTING ACTIVITIES
AN APPEAL TO MASTERTON RESIDENTS. More knitters are urgently needed to cope with the ever increasing demand for balaclavas, mittens, scarves, pullovers and sox for issue not only to New Zealand soldiers on active service, but also to those who are now prisoners of war, and to men of the Royal Navy, the merchant navy and the air force. Patriotic committees throughout the Dominion have been furnished with an increased supply of knitting wool for issue to everyone able and willing to knit. Local supplies can be obtained from the depot of the Masterton Women’s Patriotic Committee at the Women's Rest Room, Dixon Street, where knitted articles may be handed in. An appeal is made .to knitters to continue their work during the holidays.
