ALL ATTACKS HELD

ON THE MOSCOW FRONT Critical Struggle in Progress in Tula Sector REPEATED MASSED ONSLAUGHTS BY NAZI TANKS DEVELOPMENTS IN NORTH AND SOUTH LONDON, November 12. On the Moscow front, the Russians are still holding up the Germans at all points and continuing their local counter-attacks. The Finns claim that in the north their patrols are operating east of the Murmansk railway. A Berlin spokesman reports heavy fighting in the Leningrad sector, with repeated Russian counter-attacks. The Russians state that in the Tula sector, 100 miles south of Moscow, the fighting has taken on a very serious character. The “Red Star” reports that during the last three days German tank divisions have made fifteen separate attacks. In the southern part of the town the Germans were driven back. Their retreat was checked, but they remain on the defensive. The only news relating to the Crimea is a German claim to have reached an unnamed point on the Black Sea coast east of Kerch, at the southern end of the peninsula.
