The French Secretary of State for the Colonies, Admiral Platon, returned to Vichy today after a secret trip to Jibuti. He announced that France had decided to blow up the railway from Jibuti to Addis Ababa and the harbour works before surrendering the colony of French Somaliland to Britain. He did not indicate when the surrender would take place. The French Colonial Office spokesman said yesterday that Jibuti had been subjected to a blockade which must make it fall sooner or later. .
