VARIETY CONCERT ENJOYABLE PROGRAMME. (“Times-Age” Special.) The variety concert in aid of the Methodist Church Renovation Fund and given by the concert party from Wellington assisted by Greytown performers was a great success. The programme/ was as follows: —“My First All-in Wrestling Bout;” impersonation oi Sandy Powell by Miss Joyce Smith; radio impersonation of Clapham and Dwyer, Clapham, Mr Murray Smith; Dwyer, Mr Ralph Simpson; Speegle, Miss Joyce Smith; Don Juan, humorous sketch, Mr R. Simpson; pianoforte 'duet, Mrs M. Greathead and Mrs H. Farley; “That’s That” and “I Forget,” two monologues by Mr R. Simpson, assisted by Mrs Greathead at the piano; dance ih costume, “The Double Sword” by Effie Dennes and Fay Ross; “The Sights of London,” humorous sketch, by two Wellingtonians; songs, Mi’s Farley, “My Treasure” and “My Dear Soul;” play by Wellington artists, “Playing at Noughts and Crosses With You;” dance, Highland Fling, Effie Dennes, Fay Ross, and Margaret Maloney; song, “Bless This House,” Mr Ralph Simpson; humorous sketch, “Aunt Woozy,” Miss Joyce Smith; humorous sketch, “New Zealand History,” Mr Murray Smith; song, “The Laughing Policeman,” Mr Simpson; skipping dance, Lorraine and Noline Sugrue, with Mrs Greathead at the piano; “A Bit of Scotch,” by Sandy McHaggis (humorous monologue); “The Hunchback,” Crazy Gang Sketch, by Wellington concert party. At the conclusion of the concert Mr Hayman thanked all those who had taken part. Mr Ralph Simpson suitably replied. Personal Items. Miss M. Eccles is spending the weekend at her home in McMaster Street. ' Miss I. Messon is the guest of her aunt, Mrs Tully, Main Street.
