Because Count Ciano has urged him to return to Italy, to give concerts there, Tito Schipa, the famous Italian tenor, has cancelled extensive American operatic and concert engagements and is now en route to Italy, his manager, Signor Albert Morini, announced today. Signor Morini fruitlessly endeavoured to dissuade Schipa from returning to Italy, as it was likely to jeopardise his American career.
