THE NO. 4A ARMED FORCES APPEAL BOARD.

MR J. C. CORBISHLEY APPOINTED SECRETARY.

Mr J. C. Corbishley, deputy clerk of the Court and deputy registrar at Masterton, has been seconded for duty with the National Service Department as secretary of the No. 4A Armed Forces Appeal Board. Mr Corbishley will leave Masterton on Monday to take up his new duties. The No. 4A Armed Forces Appeal Board covers the East Coast and Wairarapa districts.

Mr Corbishley, an efficient and courteous official, has had considerable experience in court work. Prior to coming to Master ton in 1936, he was associated with the magistrate’s courts at Hastings, Wairoa, Wellington, Westport and Hokitika. In February, 1937, he was appointed secretary of the Wairarapa Mortgage Adjustment Commission, which position he held for two years. He holds the rank of lieutenant in the Masterton Battalion of the Horae Guard.

Mr Corbishley is well known in sporting circles. He was secretary of the United Lawn Tennis Club last season and held the position of treasurer this season. He is also a popular member of the Mahunga Golf Club. Mr K. Dick, of the Head Office, Wellington, will succeed Mr.. Corbishley.
