LABOURER KILLED

BY FALL OF PIPES. FATALITY AT AUCKLAND. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, November 6. Fatal injuries were received by a labourer when a number of heavy steel pipes slipped while being unloaded from a motor-lorry and trailer at the Vacuum Oil Company Proprietary's yard. The victim, whose death occurred at the Auckland Hospital 50 minutes after the accident, was Robert McCready, about 41, married, Point Chevalier. Fractured ribs and shock were received in the accident by Archibald Lamont, aged 31, labourer, Point Chevalier. The two men were engaged with a gang in unloading pipes weighing 15cwt and 30ft long.
