FIRE BRIGADE MEETING PRESENTATION OF SILVER .BAR. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a full attendance of members of the Fire Brigade at the monthly meeting held last night, Superintendent H. E. Rogers presiding. Accounts amounting to £3 12s 9d were passed for payment. Superintendent Rogers was presented with a silver bar, completing 15 years service, and Fireman F. West received a certificate, completing 3 years service. It was decided to present Mrs A. S. Carter with her life honorary medal at the Fire Station on the next practice night. Two nominations for honorary members were received. Mr G. Hodgson was elected an active member of the Brigade. It was decided to co-operate with the honorary members in procuring parcels for honorary members J. Kendall and W. Oldham, who are serving overseas. A committee was set up to arrange a gathering in honour of Fireman J. Dickson. , 1,, . , „ It was decided to hold tne Christmas tree as usual this year, and the secretary was instructed to make the necessary arrangements for the same. Three nominations were received for a vacancy as an active member.
