SHORTAGE IN DOMINION SAID TO BE MORE ACUTE. APPEAL BY MINISTER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, November 4. “The situation in the Dominion with regard to petrol is now more difficult than it has been at any time since the outbreak of war,” said the Minister of Supply, Mr Sullivan, speaking at a “weapons from waste” exhibition today. “I want to say to everyone that to whatever extent they can help in the conservation of petrol they will be doing a truly national service and one of great importance at present,” Mr Sullivan said. Every motorist, for his own sake, should think about the problem and do everything he coujd to save fuel.
