GREYTOWN
RUBBISH FIRE EXTINGUISHED BEFORE DAMAGE DONE. (“Times- Age” Special.) The Greytown Fire Brigade were called out last evening about 5.30 o’clock to the property of Mr H. B. Wallace, Main Street, where a rubbish fire had spread to a fence alongside of which was a garage and motor truck. The brigade quelled the outbreak before any damage was done. Bowling. The Greytown green will be officially opened on Saturday afternoon. The green is in splendid order. A number of visitors frqm neighbouring clubs are expected to be present. Halloween Fair. The Halloween Fair organised by the St. Luke’s Ladies’ Guild will take place on Friday. Canon Sykes will officially open the fair. In the evening a varied programme of entertainment will be given by young people.
