CARTERTON

LABOUR PARTY DANCE HELD LAST NIGHT. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Carterton Bandroom was crowded last evening, the occasion being a dance held under the auspices of the Carterton Branch of the Labour Party. The music was played by Udy’s Orchestra, and the gathering was a most enjoyable one; Personal Items. • Among the prisoners of .war who were previously reported missing, is Private L. F. Turley, of Martinborough, who is well-known in Carter ton. Among the visitors to the Carterton Show was Constable S. Hercock, of Levin. Excessive Speed Alleged. After the entertainment at the Carterton Show last night a motor cycle went through Carterton, with the exhaust of the machine wide open and at an excessive speed. The traffic officer has the matter in hand.
