ROOSEVELT TO ADDRESS DELEGATES. MR ATTLEE ON WINNING PEACE. LONDON, October 29. President Roosevelt is to address the International Labour Conference next Wednesday, when it will meet at the White House. Mr Attlee, British Lord Privy Seal, spoke at the conference of Britain’s resolution to win the peace as well as the war. Economic questions and those of welfare and nutrition would not again be ignored, he said, as they were after the last war.
