FOR ITALIAN PEOPLE. FORMER FASCIST OFFICIAL’S ■ WARNING. LONDON, October 29. A warning to the Italian people to prepare for great sacrifices has been given by Signor Farinacci, former Sec-retary-General of the Fascist Party. Farinacci admitted that Britain possessed a redoubtable weapon in the blockade and said he anticipated a long war. A detail in ■ the recent operation of the blockade was the seizure, on its way to Italy, of a cargo of 2,000 tons of rubber and hides which the Axis countries badly need.
