SWEDISH AIMS

FORCE TO BE RESISTED ALL POSSIBLE SUPPORT FOR FINLAND. FUTURE WITHOUT LIBERTY UNTHINKABLE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.15 a.m.) STOCKHOLM, October 29. “We are united in our determination to stay out of the war and will resist by arms if necessary any external attempt to force us into it,” said the Foreign Minister, Mr C. Gunther, in a speech in Parliament. “We will continue to give Finland all possible support, after due allowance for our own imperative interests. A settlement in Norway, in accordance with the wishes of the Norwegian people, is of interest to the whole of Scandinavia. We cannot think of a future for the north unless the whole of it regains its liberty.”
