BORDER CLASH

SOVIET OFFICIAL REPORT.

LONDON, October 27.

Amplifying yesterday’s report of a clash on the Siberian border, the official Soviet news agency in Vladivostok said that on October 23, in the vicinity of .the frontier settlement of Cassking, over 20 Japanese spldiers crossed the frontier and attacked a Russian frontier • patrol guarding Bolshaya Chertova Hill, apparently for the purpose of capturing the guards and taking them into Japanese territory.

. The Japanese army spokesman said he had not received confirmation of this report. An official news agency dispatch published in Moscow reports the clash as resulting in men being wounded on both sides.
