ENEMY SHIPS

ATTACKED BY CANADIAN AIRMEN WHILE CREEPING ALONG DUTCH COAST. SEVERAL VESSELS HEAVILY DAMAGED. LONDON, October 26. Enemy ships creeping along the Dutch coast in daylight today faced a series of atacks by R.A.F. bombers. Soon after dawn, Hudsons, flown by Canadians, swooped down on two convoys. A very large ship was hit twice and a medium-sized vessel was struck amidships. A ship in another convoy was left with her stern on fire. This particular squadron of aircraft has been detailed specially for harassing German shipping in the North Sea. Blenheim bombers attacked enemy shipping off the Dutch coast in the afternoon. ' Fighters, in a sweep over Northern France this morning, saw few enemy aircraft. Targets at Dieppe, Cherbourg and Brest were attacked. Two of our planes are missing.
