Mrs G. Ancell, of Pahiatua, is on a visit to Napier. Mrs Charles Elgar has returned to Featherston • from a visit to Wellington.
Mrs Maddison, of Hastings, is visiting her mother, Mrs A. Haig, Greytown.
Misses Grace Tooby and I. Vincent, of Masterton, spent the weekend in Wellington. Miss Kathleen Harris and Miss Muriel Julius, of Wellington, who have been spending a holiday in Palmerston North and Wanganui, are visiting Masterton.
The death has occurred of Mrs Matilda Elizabeth Brandon, wife of Mr Edward Brandon, Okawa. Mrs Brandon, who was 56 years of age, was born in Hastings, the third daughter of the late Mi’ and Mrs Jarvis. Though not associating herself with any local organisations in an administrative capacity, Mrs Brandon was a willing worker for patriotic purposes during thq Great and again during the present war.
