RED CROSS SOCIETY SUCCESSFUL SHOP DAY. (“Times-Age” Special.) The annual shop day of the Red Cross Society was held on Thursday when a large display of produce, cakes, etc., attracted a good attendance of buyers, about £6O being raised. MAGISTRATE’S COURT FAILURE TO REGISTER. At a sitting of the S.M. Court Percy Louis Jack, millhand, Hinakura, was fined £lO and costs on a charge of having failed to register in the first division of the National Reserve. On two charges of having failed to register his poultry farm, Albert A. Hoare was fined 10s and costs on the firs,t count and £1 and costs on the second. Home and School Association. A very successful dance was held last night by the Home and School Association, there being a good attendance. The funds of the school will benefit very considerably as the result of the gathering. HOME NURSING EXAMINATION RESULTS. At the recent Red Cross Society’s examinations in Home Nursing, the following local candidates passed:— Senior: Miss E. Alpe (honours), Mesdames J. Weber and D. Findlay, Misses O. Madsen, T. Killip, Card and S. Ross. Intermediate: Mrs Johns and Miss Blundell (honours), Misses M. Harvey, U. Fuller and S. Caseley. Elementary: Misses B. Howatt, B. Grant, and M. Lawson (honours), Miss J. Beveridge.
