MASTERTON BATTALION ROUTINE ORDERS, CLASSES, PARADES, ETC. Routine orders for the Masterton Battalion of the Home Guard for the coming week are: — Classes: Officers and N.C.O. classes will be held as follows:—-D Coy., Tuesday, October 28, at Opaki Racecourse, 7.30 to 10.0 p.m.; F Coy., Friday, October 31, Solway Showgrounds, 10 a.m. to 10 pirn.; E Coy., Monday, November 3, at Mauriceville Hall, 7.30 to 10 p.m.; A C. and H.Q. Coys., Tuesday, November 4, Municipal Hall, 6.30 to 10.30 p.m., and Thursday, November 6, at Municipal Hall, 6.30 to 10.30 p.m.; G Coy., Wednesday, November 5, at Gladstone Hall, 7.30 to 10.30 p.m. Parades: A Coy., at Drill Hall, Thursday October 30, at 7 p.m.; C Coy., at Municipal Hall, Thursday, October 30. at 7 p.m. Special postponement: Battalion Headquarters and A and C companies: No parade will be held, Sunday, October 26, owing to the Labour Day holiday. Parade will be held the following Sunday, November 2. Signallers: Parades as arranged by Signal Officer. Ambulance: Thursday, October 30, at St. John’s rooms at 7 p.m. Patrol guards special parade: A parade will be held at the Municipal Hall, Wednesday, October 29, at 7 p.m. Other units as arranged by unit commander’s. Transfers, promotions and appointments: D Coy., Platoon Commander McLaren relinquishes rank of Platoon Commander at own request. Marched in: Seven recruits. Marched out: A Coy., Platoon Commander Burling to N.Z.T.S.; Band, S. M. Stanton to N.Z.T.S.; D Coy., J. Bak to Eketahuna Battalion; E Coy., K. A. Larsen to overseas service.
