THEFT CHARGE

YOUNG MAN REMANDED. Roy Valentine Burgess, aged 20, a motor-trimmer, of Masterton, appeared before Messrs H. E. Pither and L. J. Taylor, J’s.P., in the Masterton Magistrates’ Court this morning on a charge of theft at Wellington on October 4, of 11 bottles of champagne, valued at £ll, the property of Valentine Vivian The accused, who was arrested yesterday afternoon by Constable A. W. Nalder, was remanded to appear at Wellington on October 23.
