LITTLE THEATRE SOCIETY
“THE LATE CHRISTOPHER BEAN.”
The Little Theatre Society will stage the French comedy “The Late Christopher Bean,” in the Opera House on Saturday and'Monday next. “The Late Christopher Bean” portrays the home of a country doctor with daughters at marriageable age and a mother who is anxious to see that they don’t pass it. To this family comes the promise of sudden fortune —and the play depicts the change in the. character of the doctor under this prospect of affluence. The adaptation by Emlyn Williams has been skilfully done —the French flair is there, transplanted into a familiar English background. The denouement will surprise patrons. Rich; Mrs Haggett, Mrs T. jordan; Ada Haggett, Miss J. Hosking; Bruce Mcßae, Mr A. McKenzie Douglas; Tallant, Mr -J. A. Kennedy; Rosen, Mi' Keith Jaine; Davenport, Mr N. Flemming.
