JERSEY BULLS
BREEDERS’ SALE HELD AT CARTERTON YESTERDAY. GOOD COMPETITION. Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report having held a bull sale on behalf of the Wairarapa Jersey breeders at the Carterton Showgrounds yesterday. There was a fair attendance. The bulls .were mostly brought out in very good order and met with good competition. Practically the total offering was sold as under: —A/c Chas. Jamieson, Dalefield, 1 at 29gns., 1 at 32 gns., 1 at 44gns., 1 at 29gns., 1 at 26gns., 1 at 15gns.; a/c L. Larsen, Masterton, 1 at 30gns„ 1 at 16gns.; a/c L. A. Keats, Mt. Bruce, 1 at 20gns., 1 at 30gns.; a/c F. J. James, Parkvale, 1 at 17gns.; a/c N. H. French, Tinui, 1 at 12gns.; a/c Mrs T. Bassett, Carterton, 1 at 22gns„ 1 at 14giis„ 1 at 21gns.; a/c N. H. SALE AT DANNEVIRKE
At the annual sale of Aberdeen Angus bulls held at Dannevirke this week, Mr J. Falloon, Masterton, sold two-year-old bulls at 45. 51 and 90 gns. and a yearling bull at 35gns. Wairarapa purchases were:—Dickens Bros., Eketahuna, one at 25gns.; D. RHall, Pongaroa, at 19gns.; J. Tarbet, Masterton, at 42-Jgns.; A. Arkwright, Featherston, at 22gns.; G. Laing. Masterton, at 52gns.
