GREYHOUND RACING

WAIRARAPA COURSING CLUB. On Saturday next the Wairarapa Coursing Club’s opening race meeting of the summer season will be held at the Cameron, Memorial Park. A splendid track has been laid down at the Park and trial runs have proved the track to be a fast one. Good nominations are expected in all events, especially the Sapling and Puppy races. The Open Flat for the Ice Cream Co. Cup will have a strong field of track racers. White Tracer, New Zealand champion, who was successful in winning the trophy last year, is expected to be a contender. Flash Diamond, a spectacular hurdle dog, is expected to uphold his reputation against all comers on Saturday. The first event is timed to start at 1.30 p.m.
