STIRLING BOMBER

HEAVY LOAD CARRIED. ENORMOUS FIRE POWER. LONDON, October 13. Evidence has been given in London of the striking power of the giant Stirling four-engined bombers which have been taking part in the offensive against Germany. This bomber is 87 feet long and carries from three to four times the bomb load of the Wellington bomber. It also has guns in the nose, amidships and in the tail. The enormous fire power of these guns was shown recently when a Stirling shot down two Messerschmitts and drove off a third after an attack on an enemy convoy.
